📦 Protect it, Pack it & SHIP, INC~ Nightshift Shipping Employee

Ship, Inc. Because every shipping empire needs a cat and caffeine.

(Aka: The Cozy Game That Somehow Turned Me Into a Nightshift Shipping Employee)

Ship, Inc. dropped June 23, 2025.I started being a nightshift shipping employee on July 7, because I'm always late to the party!

First thought? This game is suspiciously satisfying. The kind of game you download for “just a quick cozy session” and suddenly it’s 1:43 AM, you’re still in joggers, and your eyes are fighting to stay open.

My transparent honesty coming in 3, 2, 1...

I didn’t read a single instruction, review, or discussion post. I jumped in, packed a box, and hoped for the best. And after a few in-game days of completely accidental bankruptcy, here’s what I’ve learned (so you don’t suffer like I did).

💰 Pro Tips from a Box-Hustling Queen:

  • Information Board: Gives you a payout when you meet goals. Check it or stay broke.

  • Garbage Can = free money. Dig through digital trash. You’re not above it.

  • Bills: They exist. Pay them before Day 3 or say goodbye to your warehouse dreams. Game over, allegedly.

  • Law Firm: It’s not just decorative. You buy stuff that I haven't found makes much difference. But hey, take my money!

  • Bank: Visit it. I had money sitting in there and didn’t realize. Shocking, but also very on brand.

  • Sketchy Street Guy: Sell him your leftover items. Seriously. Don’t hoard them like I did for two hours thinking maybe I’d need them later.

  • Go Home: Clock out, shower you just put in a shift! Reset. Repeat. This is cozy crime at its best.

🧃 Gameplay Vibe Check

It’s cozy. It’s cute. It’s capitalism-lite. I didn’t even realize I’d played 6.3 hours already. The graphics are colorful and buttery smooth, and the game just flows. Perfect for winding down… or winding up if you get sucked in like I did.

Did I choose timed mode? Absolutely not. I’m a multitasking Gen X goddess. I’m gaming while watching a new trending show.

🛠️ Settings Deep Dive (Yes, I Eventually Opened the Menu)

  • Audio Options: Separate sliders for main, music, sound effects, and speech. A+ for not assaulting my ears.

  • Accessibility Filter: An ADHD/autism-friendly mode to reduce visual clutter. Thank you for this.

  • Graphics Settings: Includes Full Screen, V-Sync, Shadow Quality, VFX Quality, and Post Processing. I only understood Full Screen, so I maxed the rest and hoped it looked pretty.

  • Camera Sensitivity: Adjustable. Important when you’re trying not to launch a coffee mug across the screen.

  • Save & Quit: Only available after a shift ends. Thankfully, it picks up exactly where you left off, no repeating alarms or sound loops.

  • Controller Support: Nope. Controllers are not supported. It’s all keyboard and mouse, baby.

📦 The Tiny Details That Took ME a Minute to Process

  • The bubble wrap mechanic? You have to hover until the whole item is covered. Took me far too long to figure that one out.

  • Loading the truck? Stressful in the best way. Still waiting for a bigger truck upgrade so I can stop pretending I’m playing Tetris with boxes.

  • Collectibles: Haven’t found a single one. I’m confused. Help. Drop a comment if you figured it out.

If you liked Unpacking, Package Inc., or anything that rewards you for being a little too obsessed with order, you’ll love this one. And bonus: it’s from Rogue Duck Interactive, the cozy geniuses behind Lost But Found. I buy all my cozy chaos from Steam, and you can grab Ship, Inc. right here.

Genre: Casual, Indie, Simulation, Strategy

Platform: Steam

Hours Played: 6.3 (but let’s be real, that number’s going up)

Current Mood: Cozy criminal with bubble wrap power moves
